Bubble tea (珍珠奶茶) is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan and Taichung in the 1980s. It's iced cold drink made with iced tea, sweetened milk or other flavorings, and usually with sweet black balls or “pearls” made from tapioca.
